LIT Method Inc. Limited Residential Warranty

(Effective for LIT Cold Plunge and LIT Chiller products)

LIT Method Inc. (“LIT”) guarantees to the original residential purchaser that all LIT Cold Plunge and Chiller products, including their components, are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.
This Limited Warranty covers residential use only.

LIT Method Inc. Limited Residential Warranty

(Effective for LIT Cold Plunge and LIT Chiller products)

LIT Method Inc. (“LIT”) guarantees to the original residential purchaser that all LIT Cold Plunge and Chiller products, including their components, are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.
This Limited Warranty covers residential use only.

1-Year Limited Warranty Coverage

Chiller Housing
Your LIT Chiller is warranted against functional failure caused by defects in the housing structure, including cracks, blisters, or delamination due to defective materials or workmanship, for one (1) year from the original purchase date.

Equipment and Controls
The pump, compressor, chiller components, heater, sensors, and control system are warranted against malfunction due to defects in materials or workmanship for one (1) year from the original purchase date.

Plumbing Components
All factory-installed plumbing, including hoses, fittings, and valves, are warranted against leaks caused by defective materials or workmanship for one (1) year from the original purchase date.

Water Purification System
The factory-installed filtration, UVC, and ozone systems are warranted against malfunction due to defects in materials or workmanship for one (1) year from the original purchase date.

Other Components
All other factory-installed components not specifically listed above—including, but not limited to, the base, inlet/outlet grilles, frame, and internal mechanical assemblies—are warranted against malfunction due to defective materials or workmanship for one (1) year from the original purchase date.

Warranty Limitations

The following are not covered under this Limited Warranty:

  • Products located or operated outside of the United States.
  • Any shipping or technician costs for repairs or replacements to units located in Hawaii, Alaska, or U.S. Territories.
  • Freight or transit damage caused by a common carrier.
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications made by anyone other than an authorized LIT representative.
  • Damage due to neglect, misuse, abuse, or improper installation, including failure to follow the user manual and maintenance instructions.
  • Improper water chemistry or use of non-approved chemicals, cleaners, or filters.
  • Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage (scratches, stains, discoloration, chipping, etc.) that does not affect performance or safety.
  • Acts of God or external causes (e.g., theft, vandalism, fire, flood, earthquake, lightning, or freezing).
  • Routine maintenance costs and adjustments.
  • Access-related costs for service, such as removing or reinstalling the unit.

Voiding the Warranty

This warranty will be void if any of the following occur:

  • Installation or use of non-LIT branded filters, hoses, or accessories.
  • Connecting the LIT Chiller to a non-LIT manufactured plunge tub or incompatible third-party unit.
  • Failure to maintain proper water cleanliness or replace filters at least every 30 days for residential use or once per week for commercial use.
  • Failure to perform regular maintenance or improper operation, including leaving stagnant water in the unit.
  • Exposure to freezing conditions (below 32°F / 0°C) without proper winterization. Units must be fully drained and unplugged if freezing temperatures occur.
  • Failure to drain or protect the unit during planned or unplanned power outages longer than one hour.
  • Adding ice directly into the tub while the chiller is connected and running.
  • Not keeping the chiller’s firmware and software up to date (if applicable).

What LIT Will Do

At its discretion, LIT Method Inc. will repair or replace any defective product or component that has been properly installed, maintained, and used under normal conditions within the warranty period.

If repair is not feasible, LIT will replace the product with a working unit of equal or comparable value. Replacement components or units may differ in appearance and may be refurbished.

LIT will not cover:

  • Costs related to dismantling, disposal, or reinstallation.
  • Freight or delivery costs associated with returns or replacement.
  • Labor or travel fees outside standard service zones.

All replacement products will carry only the remaining balance of the original warranty period.

How to File a Warranty Claim

To file a warranty claim, please:

  1. Contact LIT Method Inc. or your authorized retailer with proof of purchase (sales receipt or order number).
  2. Provide a written description, along with photos or video evidence of the issue.
  3. Obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before returning any product.

Upon verification, a designated service representative will address the defect per this Limited Warranty. Labor and parts for covered repairs will be provided at no cost, though the customer is responsible for providing access to the unit.



LIT Method Inc. Limited Commercial Warranty

(Effective for LIT Cold Plunge and LIT Chiller products used in commercial environments)

LIT Method Inc. (“LIT”) guarantees to the original commercial purchaser that all LIT Cold Plunge and Chiller products, including their components, are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal commercial use for a period of six (6) months from the original date of purchase.

This Limited Warranty applies only to commercial use, defined as any installation or operation of the product in a setting such as a gym, spa, hotel, wellness studio, fitness center, or other business facility where multiple users access the equipment.

6-Month Limited Warranty Coverage

Chiller Housing
Your LIT Chiller is warranted against functional failure caused by defects in the chiller housing (cracks, blisters, or delamination) due to faulty materials or workmanship for six (6) months from the date of purchase.

Equipment and Controls
The compressor, pump, heater, sensors, and electronic control systems are warranted against malfunction caused by defects in materials or workmanship for six (6) months from the date of purchase.

Plumbing Components
All factory-installed plumbing, fittings, hoses, and valves are warranted against leaks caused by defective materials or workmanship for six (6) months from the date of purchase.

Water Purification System
The built-in UVC, ozone, and filtration systems are warranted against malfunction due to defective materials or workmanship for six (6) months.
Consumables such as filters and UVC bulbs are covered for ninety (90) days only.

Other Components
All other factory-installed parts not specifically listed above—including frames, grilles, fittings, and structural components—are warranted for six (6) months against defects in materials or workmanship.

Warranty Limitations

This Commercial Warranty does not cover the following:

  • Products operated outside of the United States.
  • Units located in Hawaii, Alaska, or U.S. Territories, including shipping costs or service calls.
  • Freight damage or loss in transit.
  • Unauthorized service or modifications performed by non-LIT personnel.
  • Neglect, misuse, abuse, or improper maintenance, including:
    • Failure to change filters at least once per week.
    • Failure to maintain proper water chemistry and sanitation levels.
    • Use of non-approved chemicals or cleaning agents.
  • Normal wear and tear or cosmetic issues that do not affect performance (scratches, fading, stains, etc.).
  • Environmental or external causes, including theft, fire, flooding, freezing, lightning, power surges, or vandalism.
  • Preventive maintenance, adjustments, or filter replacements.
  • Any cost related to accessing, removing, reinstalling, or shipping the product.

Voiding the Warranty

This warranty will be void if:

  • The unit is connected to a non-LIT tub or incompatible system.
  • Non-LIT filters or accessories are used.
  • Filters are not replaced weekly as required for commercial settings.
  • Proper water chemistry and disinfection protocols are not maintained.
  • The product is stored or operated below 32°F (0°C) without winterization.
  • The chiller or plunge is left stagnant, improperly drained, or exposed to power loss without proper maintenance.
  • Ice is added directly to the plunge while the chiller is operating.
  • The firmware or app connection is not maintained and updated (if applicable).

What LIT Will Do

At its discretion, LIT Method Inc. will repair or replace any defective product or component that has been properly installed, maintained, and operated within the warranty period.

If repair is not feasible, LIT will replace the unit with a working product of equal or comparable value. Replacement products or components may differ in appearance and may be refurbished.

LIT will not cover:

  • Freight, shipping, or delivery costs.
  • Labor or travel charges for on-site service.
  • Removal or reinstallation expenses.

All replacement products will carry only the remaining portion of the original warranty period.

How to File a Warranty Claim
