LIT Method Inc. 5-Year Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty

(Effective for LIT Saunas — including Infrared, Dual Heat, and Traditional Models)

LIT Method Inc. (“LIT”) warrants to the original purchaser that the LIT Sauna (“Sauna”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal indoor residential use and proper maintenance for a period of five (5) years from the date of delivery.

This Limited Warranty applies only to the original owner, at the original installation site, and is not transferable to subsequent owners.

Extent of Warranty

This Limited Warranty applies exclusively to LIT Saunas sold and installed within the continental United States and Canada.
The warranty becomes valid on the date of purchase and terminates upon:

  • Expiration of the warranty period,
  • Transfer of ownership, or
  • Relocation of the Sauna from its original installation site.

Proof of purchase (sales receipt showing date of delivery) is required for any warranty service.
If proof of purchase is unavailable, the manufacturing date recorded by LIT will establish the start of the warranty period.

Warranty Coverage

5 Years – Wood, Structure, Heater, Electronics, and Components
LIT warrants all major components—including the wood cabin, heater, lighting, electrical controls, and internal electronics—against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of delivery.

This warranty applies to indoor residential installations only.
Use of the Sauna outdoors, in garages, or in areas exposed to moisture or extreme temperatures will void this warranty.

Warranty Exclusions

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  • Labor costs associated with diagnosis, repair, reinstallation, or replacement.
  • Normal wear and tear, accidents, negligence, abuse, or improper use.
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect performance or safety (e.g., scratches, stains, fading, or minor wood movement).
  • Damage from external causes or Acts of God, including but not limited to: theft, fire, flood, earthquake, power surge, vandalism, or freezing.
  • Heating elements, which are classified as consumable parts.
  • Damage resulting from improper assembly or installation, including failure to follow the instructions in the LIT user manual.
  • Special or overnight shipping costs for replacement parts.
  • Surface cracks or expansion gaps caused by the natural expansion and contraction of wood under heat and humidity.
  • Use of paints, sealants, or lacquers on the sauna’s wood surfaces.
  • Use of the sauna outdoors or in environments with high moisture, direct sunlight, or temperature fluctuations.
  • Any liability exceeding the original purchase price of the Sauna.

Voiding the Warranty

This warranty will be void if any of the following occur:

  • Installation or use of non-LIT branded parts or accessories.
  • The sauna is placed outdoors or exposed to weather elements (rain, snow, sunlight, or high humidity).
  • Improper electrical connection, including use of a non-dedicated circuit or installation not performed by a licensed electrician.
  • Modifications to the sauna structure, heater, thermostat, or electrical components.
  • Unauthorized repairs or wiring alterations by anyone other than a LIT-approved technician.
  • Improper use of heater rocks or failure to follow heater installation instructions.
  • Pouring or applying substances other than clean water on heater rocks (traditional units).
  • Mounting objects or accessories within 12 inches of the heater.
  • Removal, alteration, or defacement of the serial number or factory label.

What LIT Will Do

At its discretion, LIT Method Inc. will repair or replace any defective part or component that has failed under normal residential use during the warranty period.

If repair is not feasible, LIT will replace the sauna with a new unit of equal size and functionality.
Replacement parts may be new or refurbished, and all defective components become the property of LIT.

LIT will not cover:

  • Labor, disassembly, reinstallation, or removal costs.
  • Freight or shipping costs associated with warranty claims.
  • Costs for disposal or site restoration.
